I have a lot to say, clearly. It’s just interesting to me that Mattel would be funneling so much energy and resources into a line like the 12 days of Christmas Barbie when they have a legacy line of holiday Barbies that have extended throughout decades and literally crossed into a new century. like OK production prices have gone up, that’s fine. You can just make the holiday Barbies more expensive. Instead of selling pieces of crap for 50 bucks on shelves of CVS like they do with the holiday Barbies now and also putting out an exclusive higher line, more expensive doll. ykwim???? and I know part of the reason why it is so expensive is because of the whole advent calendar, gimmick, but I just think that’s entirely unnecessary. just to make sure that I am my point effectively: all three of the designs referenced here are stunning reflections of different facets of chinese culture and they all absolutely SLAY. I’m making a comment on the step down from being a gold label doll series to being a black label doll. and this can be good or bad depending on how you feel about the situation. There’s no really right answer.
