This is why it is so important for you to get regular blood testing (every 6-12 months) done on senior cats (so ages 8 years and up) to check on things like their Kidneys. Cats are prone to renal disease (CKD/Chronic Kidney Disease) as they get older, and the sooner it can be detected, the better the prognosis.
