The ice baths are coming back! To kick it off here’s a little reminder that saying “we don’t have time” is just the same as saying” we aren’t willing to make time”.🥹 I am guilty of saying this from time to time but I think the truth is, if we all take one look at our phone to see the screen time I can guarantee we easily waste 1-2hours aimlessly scrolling on our phones. That’s why I always try and remind myself that the time it takes to workout (just 15-30 min), make a healthy meal (10-30 min) and commit to going to bed early (sacrificing netflix binges for a good nights sleep) is FAR MORE beneficial to not just myself but also my kids lives. If I want to give them the best I have to feel my best and that’s WHY I use them as my motivation to make time to do all of these things on a consistent basis. Of course I have bad days but if I am to do these things 80% of the time I know I am showing up as a completely different father. I am less stressed, more energized, stronger, happier, and so much healthier. So, if you want to get motivated remember, your kids aren’t why you don’t have time, but instead your kids are WHY you need to make time!! One 5am wake up and a $400 plumber visit all before 10am😭😱 This was 337 days ago (we know this because it’s a day we will never forget) 🤣😅 But seriously, we wanted to share this again because we think it’s important to remember that the world you often see on Instagram of a perfectly kept house, no screams or tantrums and everything else that is portrayed as picture perfect isn’t the reality 99% of the time. This particular time in our parenting journey was definitely the hardest. We had one 6 year old, 2 x 3 year old twins and a 1 year old. It was chaos but the good news is we survived and now life just one year later is much smoother! So remember, if your parenting journey is a sh*t show you are not alone.
