Sissy squats are very effective for isolating the quads. Some gyms do not have the sissy squat apparatus. So this is how you do it at your gym or even at home. You’ll need a straight bar, and put the cable even with your knees. Place the straight bar behind your knees. Be sure to put the weight heavy enough that it holds you in place. The bar has to be stable so we used 130 pounds here. Then as you drop down, lean forward, and chest way up as you come up. You will feel it in your quads. Do 12 to 15 reps. If you’d like to see a banded version, drop word home.
