🌿PRIVACY HEDGES: 1 Year Growth Progress! 🌿 If you’re looking for a fast-growing privacy hedge that stays green year-round, I’d definitely recommend Indian Laurel (Ficus Nitida)! We’ve seen so much growth over the last year and I can only imagine how lush the backyard is going to be by next summer! For reference, we planted mostly 15g trees but also planted a few mature trees that are in the 24” containers. All are planted 36” apart. *If you’re considering this type of tree for a privacy hedge, though, I would definitely approach it with a bit of caution & consult with your local nursery to see if it’s going to be a good fit for your yard. MORNING CHORES: 21w Pregnant w/ Toddler & 2 Goldens! 🤰🏻👧🏻🐕🐕 Life has looked a lot different for me since becoming a mom. I’ve been trying to find a good balance with home life, motherhood, content creation, & renovations/design projects, and truthfully, it’s been so hard for me! I tend to ‘retreat’ a lot during big life changes so if you’ve been wondering why I haven’t shared as much lately, it’s because I’m still trying to figure things out, all while managing the hormonal highs & lows of a recent miscarriage &, now entering my second trimester of pregnancy! This is the first time, in a long time, where I’m finally feeling like I’m finding my groove with it all—hopefully I can keep it up! I’ve learned that “blocking” my day seems to work best, prioritizing any household chores that need to be done during the first half of the day if possible, but it changes all the time depending on Violet’s schedule & our renovation projects, etc. leaving Violet’s nap time for me to get any work done, & the afternoon I’ll have fully dedicated to her & family.
