Tough to have my season over but I’ve been looking back at these two days and the awesome trips I’ve been on this year and really appreciating this season for what it was. Making this video helped me feel the joy of skiing and what I’m working hard to get back to even in these early days post surgery. Hope everyone is enjoying the last months of the season and let me know how it is out there right now. For those wanting to see the crash, I’ll post it after these two videos but I wanted to make these two first. 📷: @insta360_official X4 ⛷️: @atomicski@Spyderactive@levelgloves #ski #skiing
Really not a bad way to end the season. Well I’m sad it’s over, I had some amazing skiing this year, spending time back where I grew up in Canada, a month in Europe, and awesome days skiing at home in Utah. Crash coming up next. 📷: @insta360_official X4 ⛷️: @atomicski@Spyderactive@levelgloves
Short answer, they are not ok. These are some special skis to me so a huge bummer they are not skiable anymore. I had actually decided to retire them and only pull them out for special occasions but I was getting some new skis mounted the same day and decided to ride them before I switched to the new Bents. Also bummed I can’t ride the new Bents but I have them up on my wall for motivation to get better and as always @Chris Benchetler did an unreal job with the new graphics. 🎿: @atomicski Bent Chetler 110 #ski #skiing
Good times with the @atomicski crew. I wanted to use the new Bent 100’s but they convinced me to give the redster’s a go and it was definitely the right ski for the conditions #ski #skiing 📷: @insta360_official X4 & Ace Pro 2
This was dream trip to ski Dolomiti Superski in Italy this January. It was such an amazing experience from the sights, to the food, to the amazing hospitality. I’ve been lucky enough to come to Dolomiti Superski twice and both times the trip has blown me away (even when I knew what to expect the second time). There’s so much to do here and the Sellaronda is a must if you make the trip. It’s an awesome way to see 4 different resorts, get in some great skiing, and, most importantly, take in the views of the Sella Group. Have you been to the Dolomites? @my.dolomiti @ikonpass
Tignes might have the biggest terrain I’ve ever seen. Skiing at Val D’isere and Tignes was such a cool experience to see the terrain and size a resort can offer. So much variety in the terrain and lines that felt like I was deep in the backcountry. Definitely a place I will be going back to visit. Have you skied anywhere else that has this kind of access to terrain? 📷: @insta360_official X4 & Ace Pro 2 @Spyderactive@atomicski
60% of the time, it works every time. From the weekend before my crash when we got a surprise powder day at Snowbird. Was one of our last runs and I decided to check out some woods I’ve skied before that seem to never get skied throughout the day. Luckily l managed to find some last hidden powder stashes #ski #skiing 📸 @insta360_official X4 Camera @atomicski@Spyderactive
Do you like skiing terrain like this? This was from a day last month at Snowbird before the two most recent storm cycles so coverage was still pretty low and a lot of the terrain had some sharks. I always find it really fun and challenging to try and make what seems like unexciting or rough terrain into a fun line and make the most out of every part of the run. 📷: @insta360_official ⛷️: @atomicski@Spyderactive@levelgloves
Since the gondola fell off at Kicking Horse, here’s my favorite run there. Guessing this probably isn’t accessible now since it takes a hike from the top of the gondola. I did see they opened up the top lift, stairway to heaven, but you have to skin up from the top of the pioneer lift to get there. Probably pretty nice and not busy once you get up there, anyone in Golden let me know how that’s going. #ski #skiing 📷: @insta360_official X4 ⛷️: @atomicski@Spyderactive@levelgloves
I broke both my legs….. to be less dramatic I broke my right ankle and my left knee cap. Gonna be sidelined for awhile but super motivated to heal up from this set back and get back to snow. I had surgery on my knee cap yesterday to piece it back together and luckily the ankle doesn’t need surgery so now it’s time to get better. To answer the most pressing question, yes I have it on headcam, but no I haven’t been able to watch it yet. I’ll definitely share that video at some point and explain what happened in more detail. Luckily I have a ton of videos I’ve been meaning to edit so I’ll keep the content coming while I’m stuck on the couch. Super thankful to have @Hannah Rae taking care of me and keeping me laughing while I’m down and out. Huge thanks to all the amazing companies and people that have supported me this season @atomicski@levelgloves@Spyderactive@Snowbasin Resort @ikonpass@insta360_official I love this sport through the ups and downs and I’ll be back soon
