Really I don’t understand… if someone could help me make it make sense that would be appreciated because I’m honestly at a loss for words. I feel like it’s because I’m “step mom” and what was said came from me, but if what was said came from someone else the responses would’ve been completely different. BACKSTORY: Our son left a couple days after school got out to go with mom for summer break. He was suppose to stay until right after 4th of July, but ended up meeting and going with his grandparents (my husbands mom and step dad) after 3 weeks with mom and my MIL brought him back about 2 1/2 weeks ago. We’ve held off on making any big plans until he got back so he could be a part of them. Now it’s less than 3 weeks until school starts again and you’re asking to get him again? And you went through the child instead of coming to the adults first?? (Side note: we live in different states) I honestly tried to be as respectful as I could but also set a boundary of how we were not okay with it. Plus bringing my daughter in on this, making up a hypothetical situation, and trying to compare myself to you like we are alike was insane! I will not nor would I ever want to be anything like you. My brain is just struggling trying to comprehend and understand the thought process behind this because I truly want to be able to understand it. But it literally doesn’t make sense to me!
