they belong in their natural habitat, and that’s it. please keep those radioactive plants away from me.⚠️🌱 #croton #plantsoftiktok #PlantTok #houseplants #plants #fyp
do you have one?🧚🏻 after last week's video talking about my plant enemy (the radioactive croton🚫) I wanted to start a series sharing plants that I actually like, and I think you will too. CARE ROUTINE🌱 Light - One of the most important things for healthy growth is lighting. Monsteras like bright indirect light (I use a @soltech grow light for mine). Giving them proper light is also important if you want those gorgeous fenestrations. The plant will start getting them as it grows bigger to allow for more light to reach the lower leaves. Water - I wait until the soil is almost dry. You can check by either poking around in the soil with your finger, or you can use a moisture meter. When watering I make sure to completely drench the soil. All my monsteras are planted in pots with drainage holes, and well draining soil, so I water until I see it draining into the drip tray. Fertilizer - It’s so important to feed your plants, and monsteras are no exception. I water with diluted fertilizer every time I water them in the growing months and every other watering in the winter. Bonus Tips - Throw your monstera in the shower every once in a while to give it a good soak. Make sure to regularly clean the leaves. I use a spray I make myself with water, neem oil, isopropyl alcohol, and a couple drops of dish soap. As they grow they will need some kind of support as well. They’re a vining plant, so if you don’t give them a trellis or something to grow on they’ll start growing up your wall if you’re not careful. I know from experience. 🫠 There are so many varieties to choose from, so if you haven’t yet go get yourself a monstera.🧚🏻🍃 #PlantTok #monstera #plantcollection #easyplants #beginerplants #houseplants #plants #plantlover #plantlady #plantaesthetic #plantguide #bigplants #planttips
Do you have one?🌱 Whether you’re just getting started collecting plants, or you’re a seasoned plant hoarder, the philodendron Congo will make a great addition to any gardener's home. There’s also a green variety of this plant that is equally as stunning, and easy to care for. So keep an eye out when you’re plant shopping for that one as well.🍃 CARE ROUTINE🧚🏻 Light - I talked about this a bit in the video, but giving this plant proper lighting will make all the difference. I have mine a few feet from a south and east facing window. So it gets diffused light for most of the day. If you don’t have great lighting, you can always supplement with a grow lights! Water - I like to let my plant dry out a bit in between watering. You can use a moisture meter to check the soil, but I typically just use my finger and poke around in the soil to see if it needs a drink. Like I always say make sure when you’re watering that you water until it drains out of the bottom of the pot. I always highly recommend pots with drainage holes so you know the roots aren’t sitting in a soupy mess at the bottom which can lead to root rot.🤢 Fertilizer - This is SO important if you want bigger healthier plants. I feed my plants a watered down fertilizer every time I water in the growing months and every other time I water during the winter. Soil - I have this one in a chunky mix of soil, chunky perlite, orchid bark, and charcoal and it’s been thriving in that mix for the past two years. Bonus Tips - I used a coco pole in the beginning but quickly removed it as you don’t typically need to support these plants. Keep the leaves clean to help keep the plant healthy and free of pests. Let me know if you have one of these in the comments. Thanks for watching!!✨✨ #philodendron #philodendroncongo #plantcollection #easyplants #PlantTok #plantaesthetic #beginnerplants #houseplants #plants #plantlover #plantguide #bigplants #planttiktok #planttips
Do you have any Hoyas?🧚🏻✨ I love an unproblematic plant, and Hoyas are by far one of the easiest plants in my collection. With around 500 varieties, there’s a Hoya for everyone. Whether you’re just getting started collecting plants, or you’re a seasoned plant hoarder, the Hoya is the perfect addition to any gardener's home.🍃 Care Routine⤵️ Light🌞 - Hoyas LOVE the sun, so place your plant near a window where it can receive bright indirect light for most of the day. Make sure the light reaches the top of the pot if you don’t want a bald plant.🫶🏻 Soil🌱- I have mine in a well draining chunky mix. Hoya don’t like to sit in wet soggy soil, so proper drainage is important. I use a mix of soil, coco chips, chunky perlite, and orchid bark. Also, I’m beggingggg 🙏🏻 you to use a pot with really good drainage. A nursery pot is ideal as they have the most drainage, but if you want to use a regular pot please make sure it has a drainage hole. End plant cruelty by getting them out of those soggy pots.🤧😅 Fertilizer✨ Don’t forget to feed your plant! I add diluted fertilizer to my watering can every time I water in the growing season, and every other watering during the winter months. Our plants are hungry divas, so please don’t forget to feed them. 💅🏼 Bonus Tips! Keep those leaves clean and check for pests regularly. Also, it’s better to underwater a Hoya than to over water. So keep an eye on those leaves and soil so you can tell when it’s dry enough to water. That’s it! Feel free to leave any helpful tips in the comments.💚🌱✨ #PlantTok #plantsoftiktok #fyp #houseplants #beginnerplants #easyplants #hoya #plantcollection #plants #plantlady #plantlovers #plantaesthetic #plantguide #planttips

Propagation Tips ✨ Leave your favorite methods and tips in the comments.🌱 There are many different ways to propagate your plants, but the water method is one of my favorites. Not only is it easy, it’s also one the most accessible ways to propagate as it uses things most people already have access to.✨ T I P S 🌱 Make sure to keep an eye on the water levels in your prop. You want to make sure the nodes are always submerged in the water so they can form roots. The water can evaporate or be used by the plant over time, so be sure to top it off when needed. It’s always a good idea to leave your cuttings out for a few hours so the cut has time to callous over. This helps prevent future rotting and helps give your cutting the best chance to thrive. You can add things like prop drops to your water to help grow healthy roots. You can also add a pothos cutting as they contain a hormone that helps promote root growth. Once the roots are a few inches long you can transfer the cutting to whatever planting medium you prefer and keep an eye on it as it will need some time to adjust to its new environment. That’s it! Leave and questions in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them.💚🌱 #propagate #propagateplants #howtopropagate #plantcollection #easyplants #PlantTok #plantaesthetic #beginnerplants #houseplants #plants #plantlover #plantguide #bigplants #planttiktok #planttips
Do you have a boogie??🌱💃🏻 Whether you’re just getting started on your plant collection, or you’re a seasoned plant hoarder, the Philodendron Jungle Boogie is a great addition to any plant lover’s home. T I P S 🍃 Light - This plant loves bright indirect light, so keep it near a bright window so it can get enough sun to grow those big healthy leaves. In the winter mine is in a room with south and east facing windows, and in the summer it lives in my sunroom where it gets sun for most of the day. Fertilizer - Like all of my plants, this jungle boogie gets diluted fertilizer every time I water in the growing season, and every other watering during winter. Make sure your pot has drainage so you don’t have the roots sitting in muddy soil at the bottom of the pot. Nobody likes root rot 🤧 Soil - This plant has been in a chunky soil mix for the past couple of years, and it’s been loving it. My soil mix is - soil, chunky perlite, orchid bark, and coco chips. Bonus Tips✨ Make sure you’re keeping the leaves clean, and free of dust. You can do this by throwing the plant in the shower on watering day. Or you can use a cloth or microfiber gloves along with some plant spray to wipe them down. These plants can flower, but if you want them to put their energy into growing more leaves, you can snip off the flower with a pair of clean shears.✂️ Do you have any tips or tricks that you use for this plant??
