You’ll be stretched, cracked and folded like a pretzel, but trust us, you’ll feel incredible after 🧘‍♀️ 3️⃣ Sea lice are a thing. When swimming, especially in the afternoon, you might feel tiny invisible stings. They don’t leave marks and they’re totally normal 🌊 4️⃣ Pools can stain swimwear. Save your nice darker swimsuits for the beach and the pool, and avoid wearing light-coloured swim costumes 👙 5️⃣ You’ll be constantly taking your shoes off at temples, restaurants, some hotels and even shops. Pack easy slip-on shoes 👣 6️⃣ Leave space in your bag for shopping. 🇵🇪 YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS BEFORE HIKING RAINBOW MOUNTAIN 👇🏼 We did this tour with Valencia Travel Cusco and they made everything so easy. Hotel pickup, scenic drive, breakfast before and lunch after the hike 🚌 Rainbow Mountain sits at 5,100m above sea level. The views are unreal but the altitude is no joke 😍 Our guide Dora was amazing. She had eucalyptus oil, oxygen just in case, and made sure everyone felt safe and supported 🌿 The hike is around 2.5km uphill. It’s short but steep, and the altitude makes it tough. Bring layers, stay hydrated, and spend at least 48 hours in Cusco first ⛰️ And yes, the alpacas at the top are just as iconic as the mountain.
