nourishing rice for the gut & soul! 🧈🌈 recipe below! ingredients ~ 🧅 1 onion, diced 🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced 🧈 2 tbsp butter (or more hehe) 🫒 splash of olive oil 🥕 4 carrots, diced 🌿 4 celery stalks, diced 🍚 2 cups uncooked white rice, rinsed 🥣 6 cups chicken bone broth 🍗 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs 💛 1 tsp turmeric powder 🩷 1 tsp black pepper 🧂 1 tsp high-quality sea salt 🌿 1 tsp dried oregano 🧄 1 tsp garlic powder 🌱 handful of fresh parsley, chopped instructions ~ 1. melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. cook onion and garlic until fragrant. 2. add carrots and celery, cook for 5 minutes. 3. stir in rice, turmeric, black pepper, sea salt, oregano, and garlic powder. 4. pour in chicken bone broth, bring to a boil. 5. add chicken thighs, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. 6. mix in fresh parsley and serve warm.
