Christmas shopping - but in 1784. Never mind those boring wreaths. Everyone is getting a new wig! #18thcenturyfashion #historicalfashion #marieantoinettestyle #timetravel #christmastiktok
I’m ready for Christmas - my favourite holiday. How about you? Let’s play with the idea that it’s 1784 and this is our comfortable little town house, filled with candles and flowers. Fires in stoves and fireplaces, and the warm air is filled with promising smells from the kitchen… (Can’t explain the phone though…) #18thcenturyfashion #historicalfashion #marieantoinettestyle #timetravel #christmastiktok
It’s still gloomy January but I found this footage from one of those cheerful summer picnics - where I happen to be playing with the knife before slicing the fruit. The servants would have kept their breath and watched with horror, ready with serviettes and bandages, haha. Our informal circa 1780s clothes harmonise with the surroundings, wouldn’t you say? That gorgeous champagne coloured rose came from Marianne’s rose garden. Later that sweltering afternoon we toured the famous pink Chinese Pavilion, commissioned by Queen Lovisa Ulrika in the 1760s. #18thcenturyfashion #historicalfashion #louisxvi #marieantoinettestyle #picnic
